Structure

OPTIONS FOR BUILDING AT, ABOVE OR BELOW GRADE

DFW Custom Wood Floors offers solid wood floors that are made with above standard practices and can be installed throughout the home on a premium subfloor system. When selecting a “grade” of wood, a #1 Grade is a smooth finished wood, while a #2 Grade wood type will have visible knots, thus giving it more “character.”

Whether you desire the uniform look of a single width plank or the aesthetic of a floor with randomly sized planks, the choice is yours. We will help you find the right look.

HANDMADE SURFACE TREATMENTS FOR A DISTINCTIVE LOOK

DFW Custom Wood Floor’s expert craftsmen can create a variety of handmade surface treatments, to further customize the appearance of your new floor, whether your look is modern, rustic or anything in between. We offer cross-grain handscraped wood floors, with-the-grain handscraped wood floors, and flat/smooth wood floors.

Color, Stain, Finish

THE COLOR POSSIBILITIES ARE UNLIMITED

DFW Custom Wood Floors meets your project requirements by bringing you a virtually unlimited assortment of color possibilities for your design needs. We use Duraseal Stains so picking a stain color is made easy for you. Don’t know what to pick, don’t worry! You can start by selecting pictures in our photo gallery that you like and we will show you stain colors that match, that are lighter, and darker on the raw wood of your house. You can then select the color you like the best. This will be the easiest part of the process!

Patterns

WHICH WAY SHOULD THE WOOD BOARDS FLOW IN MY HOUSE?

In 90% of the homes we install wood floors, the wood is applied from the front of the house to the rear. When the wood planks are run from the front of the house (lengthwise) to the back of the house, it gives the aesthetic appearance that the room is larger. Additional fees will apply if selecting the 45° or Harringbone patterns.
